Share on:

Paphos Airport has been evacuated following government instructions due to reports of an unmanned aerial vehicle (drone) heading towards the area. According to Hermes Airports, it is unclear whether the drone is heading towards Paphos Airport or the "Andreas Papandreou" airbase.

The Mandria Paphos Community also reported the evacuation of the villages of Mandria, Timi, and Acheleia, following information from the Civil Defense. Airport staff have gathered in the parking areas.

Earlier, sirens sounded in the Akrotiri area, and warplanes were seen taking off. The British Bases issued a message to staff and families to remain in their homes due to a security threat.
