Event Honoring Contributors to Salamiou's Development

An event dedicated to those who contributed to the development of Salamiou was held on Sunday by the Salamiou Friends and Emigrants Association. Individuals were honored for their collective action and selfless contribution to the community.

The Minister of Interior, Konstantinos Ioannou, in his address read by the General Director of the Ministry, Elikkos Ilia, emphasized that such initiatives highlight the unity and ethos of society. The Christodoulides government supports actions that strengthen communities and highlight human capital.

The Minister of Interior stated that Salamiou proves that progress is a matter of spirit, cooperation, and social cohesion. He expressed gratitude to the priests of the Community, the former Community Leader Kostakis Augusti, and the pioneers of the Youth Center "Periklis Salamiou." Special mention was made of the president of the Salamiou Friends and Emigrants Association, Giorgos Perikleous.

The Salamiou Friends and Emigrants Association, for 40 years, has maintained the spirit of collective responsibility. Its contribution to the construction of the Salamiou Cultural Center in 1995 is a testament to social sensitivity.
