Paphos City Hall Under Guard After Phaedonos' Suspension

Paphos City Hall is under police guard overnight following recent developments regarding Phaedon Phaedonos.

Mr. Phaedonos, accompanied by the Police, visited the City Hall to collect his personal belongings after the Ministry of Interior's decision to suspend him. This decision has caused unrest within the Democratic Rally party, which is expected to discuss the matter.

Marina Christodoulidou, Communications Officer of the Police, stated to ΚΥΠΕ that the police investigation into the Mayor of Paphos' case is ongoing.

Lawyer Simos Angelides mentioned that the case of the former Metropolitan of Kitium is being used as a legal reference point for the Phaedonos case, indicating that the passage of time does not prevent the prosecution of serious offenses.
