Paralimni-Deryneia Municipality: Works for Foot-and-Mouth Disease

The Municipality of Paralimni – Deryneia has started the construction of wheel disinfection tanks in three livestock zones (Frenaros, Deryneia, and Acheritou) to combat foot-and-mouth disease.

In the Frenaros Livestock Area, the Municipality, in consultation with the Department of Agriculture, has proceeded to cut off roads, restricting access for control.

Mayor Giorgos Nikolettos emphasized the Municipality's support for livestock farmers and called for more substantial support from the state.

The Municipality calls on industry professionals to strictly adhere to biosecurity measures.
