Paralimni-Deryneia Municipality: Actions Against Foot-and-Mouth Disease

The Municipality of Paralimni – Deryneia has started the construction of wheel disinfection tanks (wheel baths) in the livestock areas of Frenaros, Deryneia, and Acheritou, aiming to protect against foot-and-mouth disease.

In the Frenaros area, roads have been cut off to control access, in consultation with the Department of Agriculture and Veterinary Services.

Mayor Giorgos Nikolettos emphasized the Municipality's support for livestock farmers and the need for more effective state support.

The Municipality calls on professionals to strictly adhere to biosecurity measures.
