Dimitra Papakonstantinou: Female Mechanic Breaking Taboos in Cyprus

Dimitra Papakonstantinou, 27, from Cyprus, is one of the few female car mechanics on the island. Her story was featured on the Alpha Enimerosi show, where she spoke about her love for cars, which began at a young age.

Dimitra studied engineering at A Technical School Nicosia and works as a car mechanic in Latsia. Despite being a woman in a male-dominated field, she has managed to earn the respect of her colleagues and customers.

She encourages other women to follow their dreams and not be afraid of taboos. In the future, Dimitra would like to open her own garage.
