Drone Flights Banned in Cyprus by Ministerial Decree

Flights of drones over the land and territorial waters of the Republic of Cyprus have been banned by a decree issued by the Minister of Transport.

According to an announcement by the Department of Civil Aviation, the decree prohibits flights of civilian unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) for any reason.

The decree is effective immediately and will remain in force until further notice. The public is urged to fully comply with its provisions.
