Gas Leak: Larnaca-Kofinou Road Closed

A gas leak from a private company tanker has caused the closure of the Larnaca – Kofinou road, near the Kofinou weighing station, in both directions.

Members of the Police are at the scene, diverting traffic. EMAK is also present with staffed fire trucks, and the tanker is being cooled.

According to the Director of Traffic Headquarters, Charis Evripidou, there is a risk of ignition due to weather conditions. Drivers are urged to follow Police instructions and use alternative routes via Anglisides and Skarinou.
