Livadia Farmers Protest Animal Culling

Approximately 30 farmers gathered in Livadia to protest the culling of asymptomatic animals by the Veterinary Services due to foot-and-mouth disease.
A farm owner alleged that information about foot-and-mouth disease in the occupied territories existed since December, but no preventive measures were taken, nor were the farmers informed.
The Veterinary Services respond that the culling of animals in units with foot-and-mouth disease is mandatory and no deviation is foreseen.
