Livestock Farmers Protest Foot-and-Mouth Disease Response, Block Nicosia Road

Livestock farmers staged a protest today regarding the government's handling of the foot-and-mouth disease situation and mass animal cullings.

The protesters initially gathered at the GSP Stadium and then marched towards the Ministry of Agriculture.

For a short period, they blocked the road at the entrance to Nicosia, in the Kalispera lights area. Police intervened to regulate traffic, which has now been restored.
