Water outage in Nicosia: Investigation into pipeline damage

Areas of Nicosia were left without drinking water due to damage to a pipeline. The Nicosia WBO announced the interruption, which affected the areas of Tseri, Lakatamia (Gerokomio), Anthoupoli (Mantas), Lakatamia (Mantas), Deftera, Anagyia, Ergates and Ergaton Industrial Area.

Residents expressed complaints to OMEGAlive about the lack of water, especially in the midst of high temperatures. TAY is investigating the problem, which appears to have originated from the works in Tseriou. Yesterday, work was done to connect the existing pipeline with a new one, but a problem arose.
