Protest in Limassol for the Deadly Fire

A peaceful protest will take place tomorrow, Thursday, July 31st, at the Molos in Limassol, starting at 6:30 PM at the A' parking area, regarding the deadly fire of July 23rd. The protest is organized by Sofia Perikleous, a music student and resident of Agios Mamas, who wants to express the public's outrage at the inadequacies that led to the disaster.
The fire claimed the lives of two people, the Filippidis couple, and destroyed property and crops. Sofia Perikleous emphasizes that the protest is not partisan or political, but aims to express grief and solidarity with the fire victims, as well as demand safety.
The protest will begin at Molos and continue with a march towards the old port. It will include speeches and songs at the Molos amphitheater. The police will be present for the safety of the protesters.
