Forest Fire Under Control in Agia Anna, Larnaca

A forest fire that broke out in the community of Agia Anna, in the Larnaca District, was brought under full control this afternoon.

According to a statement from the Department of Forests, the fire started at 18:40 in the "Rocharka" location. The immediate intervention of the fire extinguishing forces led to the fire being fully controlled at 19:20, limiting the burned area to a small area with low wild vegetation.

22 people from the Department of Forests with 6 fire trucks, as well as 1 fire truck with 4 people from the Fire Service, participated in the extinguishing operation. The causes of the fire are under investigation.
