Strovilia Incident: 5 Greek Cypriots Handcuffed During Inspection

An on-site inspection and reenactment took place at the Strovilia checkpoint by the "military court" in occupied Nicosia, regarding the case of the five Greek Cypriots accused of illegally entering a "military restricted zone."
The procedure was carried out following a request from the prosecution. According to Turkish Cypriot press, the investigation lasted 25 minutes.
The defense expressed an objection, arguing that conditions have changed and that this move is an attempt to cover up gaps.
During the inspection, the five accused Greek Cypriots were handcuffed. The team examined the area for "military zone" signs and inspected the control booth.
Although there was an intention to reenact the scene with the Greek Cypriots in the car, this was not possible due to the condition of the vehicle. The "court" accepted the objection.
The "trial" is expected to continue with the testimony of the employee who was at the control booth.
