Increased Policing in Paphos Shows Positive Results

Increased policing in Paphos during the summer period is considered particularly important by the Police. Tourist traffic is expected to increase further in 2025, and the Paphos Police Directorate has already implemented a plan to police tourist areas.

City and district officials estimate that the campaign is effective, as serious police incidents have been absent for days, unlike in other areas. The presence of the Police is visible in the city and its surrounding areas, with the aim of consolidating the rule of law and the feeling of security for citizens.

Officials stressed that this practice will continue uninterrupted, given the increased tourist traffic. Patrols of the Paphos Police Directorate carry out daily reports of traffic violations and take care to prevent serious offenses.

The Assistant Police Director of Operations of the Paphos Police Directorate, Michalis Nikolaou, stressed the importance of cooperation between the Police and society. The Paphos Police Directorate expressed its satisfaction with the response of citizens to its campaigns.
