The Game and Fauna Service considers the first day of the hunting season to be positive overall. According to the Service's Press Representative, **Petros Anagiotos**, no serious incidents of poaching were recorded.

However, **two out-of-court complaints** were filed. One hunter was found hunting in a **restricted area** and was fined €3,000, while another was found with a **assembled hunting weapon** in his car and was fined €300.

Mr. **Anagiotos** stated that approximately **18 to 19 thousand hunters** participated in the first outing. He also noted the improvement in hunters' familiarity with the **Artemis Cy** application, which facilitates their work.

It is also noted that a 44-year-old man was injured by a gunshot while working in an open area in Pera Chorio Nisou. The 44-year-old was transferred to Nicosia General Hospital.
