The 24-hour strike by the Branch Council of Social Services Officials is deemed successful by the Pancyprian Union "Equality." According to an announcement, the strike led to written assurances from the Deputy Minister of Social Welfare, ruling out the possibility of disciplinary actions.

Furthermore, the transfer of programs for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) to the Social Welfare Services (YKE) has been frozen, allowing for dialogue. "Today's 24-hour strike is considered successful, and at this stage, we will not proceed with further measures," the union notes.

The "Equality" union emphasizes the importance of collective effort to improve working conditions and serve vulnerable groups.
