Reactions continue among livestock farmers regarding the sampling carried out by veterinary services to detect foot-and-mouth disease.

Speaking on 'Πρωινό Δρομολόγιο' (Morning Itinerary), livestock farmer Paris Loizou said he asked veterinary officials to sign a European protocol that provides for sampling 28 days after the first dose, not six. He said the officials refused, so he did not allow them entry to his unit.

Mr. Loizou expressed fears about the possible killing of animals without sufficient documentation, since based on his interpretation of the specific text, any positive indication at this stage may be incorrect.
