Mr. Andreas Lambrou, 93 years old, is the oldest winter swimmer on Mackenzie beach in Larnaca. Born in Deryneia in 1932, he lived in Famagusta and after the 1974 invasion, settled in Larnaca.

For 30 years, since his retirement on January 1, 1996, he has been swimming daily at Mackenzie. He is a founding member of the Larnaca Winter Swimmers Club, which has 300 members.

Mr. Lambrou attributes his good health to exercise, a balanced diet, and daily contact with the sea. He believes that happiness lies in physical and mental health, a positive attitude towards life, and faith in the values of peace, love, and friendship.

He speaks of his memories of World War II and emphasizes the importance of peace. He worked as a union pharmacy manager and created the Larnaca - Famagusta union pharmacy with his wife, Elli.
