A manufacturer has issued a voluntary recall of an electronic device from the Cypriot market because it does not meet the essential requirements of the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive, according to the Department of Electromechanical Services.

The device is a grid solar inverter, brand name AZZURRO ZCS, model AZZURRO 1PH 3000TL-V3, manufactured in China. The distributor is Conercon Energy Solutions Ltd and the manufacturer is Zucchetti Centro Sistemi S.p.A.

The Department recommends replacing the product, although it is not mandatory. The product should be returned to the distributor, who is responsible for its withdrawal.

Consumers are entitled to free repair or replacement of the product, according to the Law on Certain Aspects Concerning Contracts for the Sale of Goods of 2021. If repair or replacement is not possible, they have the right to withdraw from the contract and get a refund.

The rights are valid for 2 years from the delivery of the product. Consumers facing problems are encouraged to file a complaint through the Consumer Protection Service website.

For information, interested parties can contact the Department of Electromechanical Services at 22800514 and 22800522 or at [email protected] or fax 22348202.
