Spearmint Recalled in Cyprus Due to Celery Content

The Health Services have announced a recall of spearmint from the Cypriot market, as it was found to contain celery, an allergenic ingredient, which is not listed on the packaging.
The product is SPEARMINT, trade name 'Nobel', with a best before date of 30/09/2027, net weight 20g and origin from Egypt. The recall was issued after sampling and laboratory tests by the General Chemical State Laboratory.
The Health Services have informed the distribution company for immediate withdrawal of the product. They call on consumers who are allergic to celery not to consume the product and return it to the stores where they bought it.
