€2 Million Renovation for Nicosia Municipal Swimming Pool

The Nicosia Municipal Swimming Pool is undergoing a €1.9 million (excluding VAT) renovation, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Facility. The renovation of the interior spaces and the building's energy upgrade are expected to be completed by the summer of 2025.
The swimming pool, also known as "Lellos' Pool," has been closed since September 2021 due to renovation work. The works include demolitions, electrical and mechanical installations, and the installation of a new panoramic elevator.
Specifically, the works include:
- Demolition of the metal roof of the central ground floor interior atrium.
- Removal of doors and windows, sanitary ware, and interior partition walls on the ground floor.
- Demolition of the internal staircase and the three ground floor circular columns.
- Demolition of sanitary ware and ceramics on the 1st floor, as well as some internal and external walls.
- Removal of mechanical and electrical installations from the building.
- Removal of finishes and waterproofing systems from the roofs.
- Removal of external plasters for the application of thermal facade.
