Akrotiri: Evacuation Extended for British Families

The British Bases have announced an extension of the mandatory evacuation for British families in Akrotiri until next Friday, for security reasons.

They are also covering accommodation costs for 286 people, including families and vulnerable groups, in hotels.

Schools in Akrotiri will remain closed until Monday. Instructions are expected from the Ministry of Interior regarding a possible extension of the evacuation.
