Akamas: Cyprus Environmental Movement Demands Publication of Investigations

The Cyprus Environmental Movement (PKK) is requesting the publication of investigations announced by the Government regarding road works in Akamas. It also calls for the allocation of responsibilities to competent bodies and the assumption of political responsibilities.

The PKK accuses the Ministry of Agriculture of a 'delaying tactic' and claims that the investigations are being 'kept in hermetically sealed drawers', avoiding the assumption of political responsibility. Furthermore, it denounces 'lack of transparency and concealment of responsibilities' for the 'environmental crime' in Akamas.
