EAC: Power restoration progress in fire-affected areas

EAC crews are fully mobilized to restore power to fire-affected communities. According to a post by Christina Papadopoulou, EAC spokesperson, power has been restored to most of the core areas of the communities.

Specifically, in Agios Georgios Sylikou, Alassa, Kissousa, Mallia, Omodos, Potamiou, Ypsonas and Sotira, power has been fully restored, either by connecting to the grid or by generator.

Community coverage in Monagri has reached 98%, Koilani 95%, Vouni and Kyvides 90%. In Souni-Zanatjia, power is at 80%, while the communities of Agios Therapon, Vasa Koilaniou, Lofou and Arsos are at 70%. Finally, power is at 65% in Agios Ambrosios.

"Our goal is to restore power to every home, safely and as soon as possible," concludes Ms. Papadopoulou.
