EAC to Cover Electricity Bills Up to €500 for Fire Victims – No Disconnections

The Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) has announced support measures for those affected by the fire in Limassol. Electricity bills up to €500 will be covered for affected residential and business customers.
Furthermore, electricity disconnections in the affected areas are suspended until September 30, 2025, including for those with outstanding debts. No disconnection notices will be sent, and no measures will be taken to cut off supply due to unpaid bills.
The Minister of Energy, Giorgos Papanastasiou, stated that the EAC stands by those affected and is working to restore the damage.
