EAC to Cover ā¬500 on Electricity Bills for Fire-Affected Residents
Energy Minister Giorgos Papanastasiou announced that the EAC (Electricity Authority of Cyprus) will cover ā¬500 on electricity bills for residences and properties in fire-affected areas.
No action is required from EAC customers to deduct the amount, as long as their name is on the affected list.
Additionally, the EAC is suspending power cuts and disconnection notices in the affected areas until the end of September 2025.
The Energy Minister thanked the EAC for the decision and the efforts to restore the network.
