EAC: Power restoration in fire-affected areas

The EAC is fully mobilized to restore power to the communities affected by the fires. According to an announcement by the organization's Press Officer, Christina Papadopoulou, power has been restored to most of the core areas of the communities.

Specifically, in Agios Georgios Syllikou, Alassa, Kissousa, Mallia, Omodos, Potamiou, Ypsonas and Sotira, power has been fully restored, either by connecting to the grid or by generator. Coverage in Monagri has reached 98%, in Koilani 95%, in Vouni and Kivides 90%. In Souni-Zanatzia, power is at 80%, while the communities of Agios Therapon, Vasa Koilaniou, Lofou and Arsos are at 70%. Finally, power is at 65% in Agios Ambrosios.

"Our goal: to restore power to every home, safely as soon as possible," says Ms. Papadopoulou.
