EAC: Restoration Works Continue in Fire-stricken Areas of Limassol

Restoration works continue on the electricity network in the fire-stricken areas of the Limassol province, according to EAC Press Officer Christina Papadopoulou.
So far, 178 out of 400 burnt poles and 8 out of 50 burnt transformers have been replaced. In addition, 3.5 kilometers of medium voltage overhead network have been constructed.
Ms. Papadopoulou emphasized the coordination of the crews, consisting of more than 150 people, and the effort to restore the network. Power supply has been restored to seven communities with generators and electricity to nine communities.
The priority is to create the central core of the network and then connect the houses, after checking for safety.
Drones recorded the damage in inaccessible areas. The EAC used equipment reserves from all provinces to replace the damaged ones.
