19-year-old Rescued from Drowning at Limassol Beach

A 19-year-old foreign national was rescued by swimmers at a Limassol beach on Sunday evening after nearly drowning.
According to the Police, the young man, of Egyptian origin and a resident of Cyprus, was found approximately 100 meters from the shore, near the "Theatraki" café-restaurant, calling for help. Other swimmers rushed to help him get ashore before the police arrived.
The 19-year-old was taken to Limassol General Hospital, where he remains hospitalized for precautionary reasons.
