Cabinet Approves Support Measures for Agrotourism Businesses

The Cabinet has approved measures to support agrotourism businesses, it was announced on Wednesday.

Deputy Minister of Tourism, Kostas Koumis, stated that a one-time financial aid of €1,000 per bed will be provided for tourist accommodations in traditional buildings in the affected areas.

Additionally, a one-time financial aid of 40% of the turnover from previous periods will be provided for tourist accommodations operating within traditional infrastructure in the affected areas.

Furthermore, a domestic tourism plan will be announced to boost demand in the affected areas from 1/1/2026 to 30/06/2026, with subsidized vacations in businesses based and operating in these areas.

The measures aim to upgrade the operational-tourism readiness of tourist businesses and do not concern compensation for damages from fires.
