Agreements Signed for «Kronos» Gas Field – Production in 2027

Three commercial agreements were signed on Monday for the exploitation of the natural gas field «Kronos», located in Block 6 of the Exclusive Economic Zone of the Republic of Cyprus.

The agreements were signed in the presence of the Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry Giorgos Papanastasiou and the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Egypt Karim Badawi.

With the approval of the Development and Production Plan and the final investment decision around the end of 2025, the production of the first gas from the «Kronos» field is expected within 2027.

The agreements were signed in the context of the Eastern Mediterranean Energy Conference and Exhibition – EMC 2025 held in Limassol, by representatives of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) and Eni and TotalEnergies.
