AI Shaping the Future of Shipping, says Deputy Minister

Artificial intelligence is shaping the future of shipping, according to the Deputy Minister of Shipping, who emphasized the need to adapt education to modern technological developments.

Addressing the award ceremony of the program "Supply Chain Management and Maritime Studies" of MIEEK Lemesos, the Deputy Minister stated that artificial intelligence is already affecting the shipping industry, from fleet management to safety and sustainability.

He also referred to the Nicosia Declaration, which emphasizes the strengthening of education and lifelong learning. He praised the work of the Public School MIEEK Lemesos, noting that the curriculum meets the modern needs of the market.

Finally, he congratulated the participants and the students who excelled, stating that they are the future of Cypriot shipping.
