Unilever: New Food Factory in China

Unilever has inaugurated a new food factory in China, which will serve as the production base for all categories of food in the country.
The new facilities, located in Guangdong province, are designed to enhance Unilever's operational capabilities in southern China and improve the company's supply chain network in the Chinese market.
In addition, a logistics park has opened, which will operate as a hub for the inter-regional distribution of Unilever's food products. The warehouse features higher storage density and increased receiving and shipping capacity.
Joyce Zhou, general manager of Unilever Foods North Asia, stated that the company will pursue green production.
Unilever has a regional headquarters and research and development center in Shanghai, as well as eight major production bases and logistics centers in China, according to Xinhua news agency.
Furthermore, Unilever plans to invest over $400 million in a new factory in Mexico, which will specialize in beauty and personal care products.
