Tsakos Energy Navigation Orders Two VLCCs for $257 Million

Tsakos Energy Navigation (TEN), owned by Dr. Nikos Tsakos, has signed an agreement with South Korean shipyard Hanwha Ocean to build two state-of-the-art VLCC (Very Large Crude Carriers) tankers.
The agreement concerns tankers with a capacity of 320,000 dwt each, with scheduled deliveries in 2027 and 2028. The cost amounts to $257 million for both vessels.
TEN's last VLCC order was in 2015.
