Theodorikakos: Support for the aluminum industry

The Minister of Development, Takis Theodorikakos, stated that the government actively supports the aluminum industry, calling it a "success story" at the 40th Regular General Assembly of the Hellenic Aluminum Association.
Mr. Theodorikakos emphasized the importance of the sector for the Greek economy, highlighting the strong manufacturing base, investments in technology, exports, employment, and regional development. He mentioned that the sector employs over 80,000 workers and has significant export activity.
The minister also referred to the impact of the military conflict in the Middle East, emphasizing the uncertainty it creates in international markets and energy costs. He reiterated the government's commitment to support businesses and citizens.
Particular emphasis was placed on supporting energy-intensive businesses, stating that announcements will be made soon regarding government support, with resources from the Modernization Fund. He also highlighted the support for manufacturing and industry through the Development Law.
