ATA Discussions: Three-Week Deadline Set

The Minister of Labor, Giannis Panagiotou, has given social partners a three-week deadline to consider the modernization of the Automatic Cost of Living Adjustment (ATA) in the private sector.
According to the Director General of OEB, Michalis Antoniou, a new meeting is scheduled for next month, preceded by separate meetings with the Minister of Labor.
Mr. Antoniou emphasized that any agreement will be implemented from 1/1/2026, with restrictions in place until the end of June 2025.
The social partners agreed to a moratorium on statements, while employers' organizations will submit proposals to facilitate a mediation proposal from the Minister of Labor.
Mr. Antoniou stated that there is cautious optimism about reaching an agreement.
