Transporters 'A' Strike Continues in Limassol

The indefinite strike by transporters 'A', which began on Monday, continues. Hundreds of containers remain trapped in the port of Limassol, threatening to paralyze trade.

The secretary of POBEK, Kyriakos Moustakas, stated that the mobilizations will continue if solutions are not given to the problems created by the increase in the size of the containers and the refusal of the Department of Road Transport to register trailer chassis.

Tomorrow, the transporters of building materials and aggregates will join the strikers in solidarity, while from Monday, the transporters of grain and animal feed will also participate.
