SEV and European Associations Call for Measures on Energy Costs

The Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV) and other industrial associations from nine European countries have issued a joint statement regarding energy costs.

The statement is addressed to European officials ahead of the publication of the Clean Industrial State Aid Framework (CISAF) on June 25.

Organizations from Germany, Italy, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Austria, Portugal, and Slovakia, in cooperation with SEV, are requesting that member states be allowed to implement measures to support electricity prices for industry.

SEV emphasizes the need for immediate measures to address high energy costs, warning of the risk of deindustrialization in Europe. SEV's President, Spyros Theodoropoulos, stated that businesses urgently need specific measures to reduce energy prices.
