«Apollon» Program: Reducing energy costs for vulnerable households

The Joint Ministerial Decision (KYA) for the «Apollon» Program was signed by the Minister of National Economy and Finance, Mr. Kyriakos Pierrakakis, and the Minister and Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy, Mr. Stavros Papastavrou and Mr. Nikos Tsafos.
The program aims to reduce energy costs for vulnerable households through the utilization of green energy, benefiting beneficiaries of the Social Household Tariff A’.
The «Apollon» program also includes the implementation of competitive bidding processes for granting operational support to:
- Wind farms with a total capacity of 400 MW
- Photovoltaic plants with an integrated electricity storage unit with a total capacity of 200 MW
Photovoltaic plants with batteries must be completed by December 31, 2027, while wind farms must be completed by September 30, 2028.
A basic prerequisite for participation in the competitive processes is that the projects have a Final Connection Offer.
