Panagiotou: Fair Common Agricultural Policy a Priority

The Minister of Agriculture, Maria Panagiotou, stated that a priority of the Cypriot Presidency is the formation of a strong, fair, and effective Common Agricultural Policy.

Speaking on the morning commute, Ms. Panagiotou said that targeted measures to strengthen the sector must be taken in cooperation with European institutions.

Referring to the requests of Cypriot farmers, she pointed out that the foundations are being laid for a permanent solution to the water problem, while at the same time decisions are being taken to support farmers and their incomes.
