OEB: "We never agreed to full restoration of ATA"

The Director General of the OEB (Cyprus Employers & Industrialists Federation), Michalis Antoniou, stated that the OEB never agreed to the full restoration of the ATA (Automatic Cost of Living Adjustment). He warned that the confrontation jeopardizes the climate of trust and cooperation necessary to address important issues such as tax and pension reforms.

In statements to RIK's Third Programme, Mr. Antoniou appealed to the unions to exclude essential services, such as ports, airports and hospitals, from strike action. He stressed that the cost to vulnerable citizens would be disproportionate.
