Bernard Arnault Opposes Billionaire Tax in France

Bernard Arnault, head of LVMH and France's richest person, opposes the proposed tax on billionaires. Arnault described the 2% tax on assets exceeding 100 million euros as an attack on the French economy.
Arnault accused economist Gabriel Zucman, the plan's architect, of being a 'far-left activist' seeking to dismantle the liberal economic system. Zucman rejected the accusations, emphasizing that his work is based on research, not ideology.
The proposed tax has significant public support in France, with an Ifop poll showing that 86% of respondents support it.
