Despite not winning the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN 2025), Morocco reaped significant economic benefits. The event acted as a catalyst for growth and tourism, generating over €1.5 billion in direct revenue and €2.3 billion in investments.

The Moroccan government used CAN 2025 as an accelerator for development, aiming to compress a decade of growth into just 24 months. Over 100,000 new jobs were created, and the infrastructure developed, including nine stadiums built or renovated, will also be used for the 2030 World Cup, which Morocco will co-host with Spain and Portugal.

The event attracted approximately 600,000 visitors, contributing to a historic record for Moroccan tourism, with 20 million arrivals. The investments were aimed at long-term use by citizens, with emphasis placed on the training and certification of thousands of new workers.

CAN 2025 also served as a catalyst for technological development, with the deployment of 5G networks and digital systems. The event had approximately 2 billion viewers and 10 billion views on social media, highlighting Morocco's readiness for the 2030 World Cup.
