Marinakis: Hydrocarbon research to begin in 2026

Government Spokesman Pavlos Marinakis announced the approval of the four contracts for hydrocarbons by the Court of Auditors. The goal is for research to begin in 2026.

The contracts concern the Chevron - Helleniq Energy consortium and are expected to be submitted to Parliament for approval. Mr. Marinakis stressed that the process is moving within the foreseen timeline.

He also referred to the government's solidarity with the Spanish people for the train accident, data on the out-of-court mechanism, energy and employment, as well as the draft law on collective labor agreements.

Finally, he announced the establishment of a Crisis Management Team for air navigation, following the incident in the Athens FIR on January 4.
