Keravnos: Zero Inflation Favors Agreement on Cost of Living Allowance (ATA)

Minister of Finance Makis Keravnos stated that zero inflation creates a positive conjuncture for an agreement regarding the Cost of Living Allowance (ATA) within the framework of social dialogue. He called on all parties to participate with a constructive spirit.
Answering questions after the signing of an agreement for the transfer of CSE employees to the Public sector, Mr. Keravnos stressed that social dialogue is the basic tool for resolving critical issues, ensuring social peace and benefits for the economy.
The Minister emphasized the government's role in finding a solution that benefits businesses, employees, and society, expressing his support for the continuation of the dialogue. Regarding the proposal "ATA for all," he mentioned that it needs to acquire specific content to contribute to an agreement.
Regarding the financial impact, the Ministry of Finance is acting preventively, while the final costing will be done upon submission of specific data.
Commenting on the Cyprus-Greece electricity interconnection and the statements of the Greek Prime Minister, Mr. Keravnos ruled out confrontation with Athens, recalling the explanations given by the President of the Republic.
