Pension Benefits Paid to RIK Employees

The General Accounting Office of the Republic has paid the pension benefits to the retired staff of the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (RIK) for the year 2023.

The payment was made in accordance with the legislation of the new pension plan and the 2025 agreement. According to an announcement by RIK, these are the first executives to join the new plan.

This payment ends the waiting period for those affected and defines the framework for resolving the pension issue. The procedures for the remaining beneficiaries are in progress in cooperation with an actuarial firm.

RIK's Board of Directors and Management assure that they will continue efforts to complete the procedures within the foreseen timelines, in cooperation with the competent state services and the Foundation's unions.
