Photovoltaics: EAC to Renegotiate Kilowatt-Hour Price

The Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) is expected to renegotiate the price per kilowatt-hour it purchases from photovoltaic system owners through net billing and net metering methods, following the expiration of current schemes at the end of the year.
Fanos Karantonis, President of the Association of Renewable Energy Companies, stated on the Alpha Enimerosi show that the EAC currently buys electricity at 11 cents per kilowatt-hour, a price also applied to large RES units. The new price remains unknown.
It should be noted that applications for the net metering method can only be submitted until December 31, 2025.
