A new international survey by EY and Young China Group LLC, titled 'The first global generation: Adulthood reimagined for a changing world,' reveals the priorities of Gen Z. The study surveyed 10,000 young people aged 18 to 34 across ten countries on five continents.

According to the survey, financial independence, alignment with desires and personal values, and building meaningful relationships are key priorities. Mental and physical health (51%) are the main indicators of future success, while family relationships (45%) outweigh financial well-being (42%).

Financial security is the most significant source of anxiety for young people. Although 87% consider financial independence a top priority, fewer than two in three (63%) express interest in wealth accumulation.

Commenting on the survey, Eftychia Kaselaki, a partner at EY Greece, stated that Gen Z balances ambition with adaptation to change.
