ECB: Potential Rate Pause in September

The likelihood of another pause in monetary policy by the European Central Bank (ECB) in September is increasing, according to Bloomberg.
Despite pressure for rate cuts, the ECB appears to favor a wait-and-see approach, as inflation has returned to its 2% target. Christine Lagarde stated that officials will continue to assess the data.
Markets have reduced expectations for a rate cut in September to 25%, down from 40%. However, a Bloomberg poll still predicts a final cut to 1.7% in September.
Lagarde warned of the risks posed by the strengthening euro, geopolitical tensions, and the uncertain investment environment.
